Supporting Growth, Independence and Community Inclusion!

Affinity provides home- and community-based supported living services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Autism, in an effort to promote self-reliance and foster each individual’s ability to make a special contribution to an inclusive community.

Our Approach Since 2004

Affinity emphasizes strong communication and a team approach in all aspects of our services. Programs are developed to meet the needs of each individual while integrating best practice approaches in addressing areas of skill development. Behavioral Health Professionals (BHP) and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are recruited and trained to meet the specific needs of each individual that we serve.

Our Commitment

  • To respect and support family choices
  • To listen to each individual’s voice
  • To support each individual’s needs
  • To advocate for each individual’s goals

Our Background

Affinity was established in March 2004 as a provider of Section 24 Children’s Services (presently Section 28). In October 2005, we expanded our service to include individuals aged 21 and older, and developed our Adult Community-Based Program, now located in Portland. Affinity currently serves families in Cumberland and York Counties.
